ReplyDeletethat's the solution.
Spot on solution. People on the internet are going way deep into the registry and they are all over the place. It was just a matter of restarting this one service, and just on one computer not every one of the computer. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCudos, read a lot of posts that didn't help.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Worked for me, too. But it's only a temporary fix. The problem will happen again a day or two later. Not only is this a pain, but restarting the server service risks problems with other workstations that are sharing successfully. We need a real fix.
ReplyDeleteupgrade the windows xp sp2 to sp3
DeleteThx much dude, worked for connecting XP Pro to Win 7 Ultimate when the mapped drive just stopped working.
ReplyDeleteSo Simple but so successful. I fixed both the server and workstation and, so far, no problems.
ReplyDeletethanks it works.
ReplyDeleteWorked first time despite my doubt after the amount of things I have tried from the internet
ReplyDeleteTHANKS ! IT WORKS!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!! Working
ReplyDeleteI've wasted a couple of hours trying various solutions to this problem. Your solution is the only one that I've found that works. In my case I have 2 Win2k+SP4 machines on a private network connecting to a Win7Pro server with 2 NICs. I could easily MapNetworkDrive from the Win7 machine to the Win2k+SP4 machines, but going the other way always gave the above error. Restarting the Service did the trick.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much.
