how to reset gpedit.msc values to default windows xp.


  • Goto Run type 
  • C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\User  press ok
  • Delete or move the Registry.pol file and restart the system..

    I deleted the Registry.pol, reboot but nothing happens. i check the \grouppolicy folder, registry.pol has been deleted. any advice? thanks

      HI xchanise , delete the Registry.pol file from "C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\User" ...

      if above not works.

      open CMD and paste this code

      secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose


      and hit enter.
